Out with the old, in with the new. WebOS is due.

The days of Palm may be over, but I for one am excited to see WebOS evolve into tablets and different phones.  This OS is overlooked often which is a shame for what it has to offer, such as the multitasking feature which is second to none in my opinion (with the exception being Maemo).

With the new HP TouchPad being released soon hopefully consumers will get a better view of what this OS has to offer.  The new tablet will offer a generous 9.7” display which is the same size as the iPad and iPad 2.  It will also feature a dual core CPU, 16/32GB of storage and a front facing camera.  A new feature HP is introducing is the ability to have the tablet communicate with the HP Pre 3 (and probably the Veer too) just by having them touch.  This will share a URL to either device and automatically open the browser to the link.  This may not sound like much but I’m sure this will eventually lead to anything being shared simply by touching the two devices.

I believe this tablet will make a big dent in the market and consumers will eventually make the switch once they see all it offers with integration and synergy.  For all you gadget enthusiasts out there this is a must to try out.  There is no harm in selling your old outdated tablet to purchase this or any new piece of technology.  This is the cycle of life for most of us that can’t afford to purchase these devices on a regular basis and it helps create a base for the new while still supporting yesterday’s devices instead of them gathering dust.
